About Event

The land of the seven sisters, a sobriquet coined by Jyoti Prasad Saika in 1972, refers to the seven states comprising the north-eastern part of the country. A land that accounts for 7% of India's total area and 4% of its population, is,sadly, demanding recognition from its own people. We, at PGDAV College, have decided to make it the theme of our annual fest- AAGHAZ, to show that we recognize, we support and we protest. Known as 'paradise unexplored' , India's seven sisters are popularly known for their origin in the foothills of the Himalayas, magnificent valleys, exotic flora and fauna, and ethnic and religious diversity. Assam, the gateway, is known for national parks, river islands, tea gardens and temples.
